We are local, independent, and intent on providing exceptional European wine, cheese, and charcuterie to Reigate.

Having opened in late 2024, we've been overwhelmed by the support to date including an award nomination , and have so much to look forward to in 2025 - all of it revolving around wine, obviously (check out What's On further down this page).

About

Basil's is a cosy neighbourhood wine bar in the heart of Reigate serving quality, unique produce sourced from handpicked suppliers showcasing the finest continental food and drink.

Our ethos is simple: quality over quantity. That's why we boast a small, and occasionally changing, blackboard food menu designed to intrigue and satisfy. The wine list, also refreshed from time to time, focuses on sustainability with classics from renowned regions to offerings from smaller producers and lesser known lands.

Whether you want to pop in for a simple glass, or fancy taking away a bottle from the shop, Basil's has you covered.

Basil's diary is getting busy with a number of events in the coming months. Of course, they all involve wine, but they also require ticket purchase in advance. Check out what's on below and how you can join the fun:

Run To Wine

  • Wednesday 9th April (6:45-9pm)

  • Join us for a social 5km run followed by a fun and informative wine tasting experience, as we celebrate two of the best things in life!

Bookings

Whilst we love to encourage walk-ins and do keep a certain number of seats free for those that live life spontaneously, we do take bookings.

Please contact us via email, phone, WhatsApp, or social media to secure your space. However, please note that due to the size and nature of Basil's you may not always be seated at a table; it might be at the bar, window or counter seating, but you'll still get the same top notch service and experience.
